For WigsbyChevKirschner, an Orthodox Jewish wig company, I led and executed a photoshoot centered on elevating how wigs and hair are visually represented. Beyond showcasing finished styles, the goal was to capture the full lifecycle of the product highlighting the making, styling, and purchasing process while rethinking traditional approaches to photographing hair.
On set, I directed models and documented a mix of candid, in-motion moments alongside more composed portraits. This balance allowed the wigs to feel lived-in and personal, rather than overly staged. Equal attention was given to process-driven imagery: moments of styling, preparation, and consultation that reflect the care, craftsmanship, and intimacy involved in creating and selecting a wig.
Throughout the shoot, I explored new ways to photograph hair that emphasized movement, texture, and presence over perfection. Lighting and composition were kept soft and intentional to support an elevated yet natural look aligned with the client’s desire for authenticity and refinement. Each decision was made with versatility in mind, creating imagery that could live across the brand’s website, social platforms, and future marketing needs.
The resulting photo library presents WigsbyChevKirschner as both aspirational and deeply grounded in craft and community. The client was extremely pleased with the final images and the collaborative process from start to finish.
